Hallam railway station

Hallam is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Hallam, on the Pakenham railway line. Hallam is unmanned and is in Metcard Zone 2.

Facilities

Hallam is located at the western end of the Hallam South Road level crossing, which provides station access.

The station consists of two side platforms, with both platforms having small steel shelters. A large Metcard ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A coin-only Metcard ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to platform 2. Myki ticket vending machines are located at the entrances to platform 1 and platform 2.

Hallam receives, on average, two off-peak services per hour travelling to/from Melbourne on weekdays (with more services during peak hours) and one every 40 minutes on weekends.

History

Hallam station opened on 1 December 1880 as Hallam's Road, and was renamed Hallam in 1904.^[1]

Platform 2:

• Pakenham line - all stations services to Pakenham.
